Charge + Boost Pipe Kit BMW 228i/320i/328i F2x F3x N20/N26
This aluminum charge pipe replaces the OEM plastic pipes. In vehicles with performance upgrades, the increased boost pressure can cause the original charge pipe to burst. In the worst case, sucked-in fragments can lead to severe engine damage.
The aluminum charge pipe has an enlarged diameter (3" / 76mm) compared to the original. It reduces air turbulence while increasing airflow. This results in faster turbocharger response and higher possible maximum performance. The engine control unit software does not need to be re-tuned. Even at very high boost pressures, there is no risk of bursting. In addition, this charge pipe provides a solid basis for adding a water-methanol injection system, as a connection for the injector is already prepared. Installation is relatively simple since the charge pipe is swapped plug-and-play with the OEM part.
